Library of the National Institute of Public Health is on the second floor of NIOPH’s building. It comprises of one big room equipped with two tables for reading and book shelves, and one room equipped with sets of computers. It aims to provide health and health research information to both public health students and researchers, not only serves for the NIOPH staffs and students but also for other visitors in order to strengthen public health research activities and capability in doing public health researches effectively in the country in general, in particular, within Ministry of Health and National Institute of Public Health.

Library provides books, reports, bulletin, journals, theses, international prints and others that related to the field of medicine and public health researches which are from World Health Organization, COHRED, UNICEF and other international bodies. In addition, it provides free access to internet for searching health and health research information from HINARI website and other global websites available.

Library is trying to be an excellent center for supporting information in the field of public health researches in Lao PDR. It is sharing and exchanging information with the library of Francophony Institute of Tropical Medicine which located in the same building with NIOPH
